The Northeast Chapter of the Audi Club NA (NEQ) is holding its annual event at Lime Rock Park in the beautiful Northwest corner of Connecticut on May 18-19, 2012. Again this year we will be sharing track time with the Lime Rock Club. To insure that all participants get the same track time as at previous LRP events, we are limiting the number of students in each run group.

Quattro de Mayo is a gathering of Audi (and other European car) enthusiasts from across the Southeast. Each year, we spend as many as four days driving some of the curviest roads in the country, and spend the evenings making new friends.

This event began 7 years ago when a group of Audi Club members from Ohio took a trip to East Tennessee to drive a stretch of road named the Tail of the Dragon, which packs 318 curves into 11 miles.

Audi Club’s Chicagoland Chapter is proud to offer members an opportunity to attend our season-opening event held at the exclusive Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL.

While the popular 3rd day (Monday May 7th) option is currently sold-out, plenty of spots remain open for the Saturday & Sunday option. Saturday features the 1.46 Mile North track and Sunday offers the 2.1 Mile South track.

This past April I had the opportunity to attend a “lapping day” at High Plains Raceway (HPR) sponsored by the Audi Club Rocky Mountain Chapter.  Wow! Pretty much says it all.  Like many I had no idea what to expect but had plenty of questions.

On Saturday, May 5 SPEED TV will present the television debut of “Truth in 24 II: Every Second Counts,” the third installation of the popular documentary series. The film chronicles the gripping challenges overcome by the Audi Sport Team Joest and its engineers at the famed 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France.
