Come join us and be a part of the Legends of the Autobahn auto show on August 17, 2012 (register). The Golden Gate Chapter will be organizing Audi's participation at this year's show comprised of owner clubs of Audi, BMW, Porsche, and Mercedes Benz. The event will be held the beautiful Rancho Canada Golf Course, in Carmel Valley, California.

Audi owners will have the opportunity to display their technically superior cars amongst the other German marques in a beautiful park like setting. There will be many interesting and significant cars to see. Car registration is $30 until August 1; after August 1 it raises to $45 per car. Registration closes on August 10th. There will be food, beverages, and auto regalia available in a festival like atmosphere. As in all Golden Gate chapter events we plan some special SWAG for all entrants. A catered breakfast, and lunch will be available for $9.95 and $24.95 respectively. Participants can also choose to bring a picnic lunch, but choices for food at the event are limited. Special Legends of the Autobahn shirts will also be available for purchase in advance.

We plan to have a number of interesting Audi models on display both new and old. Audi USA plans to display several new and perhaps special cars for us to see. Of course, most of the cars at the show are our personal cars we all know and love. We are encouraging all area Audi owners to come, join us in the prideful display their cars, while enjoying the camaraderie of other Audi owners in this all day car show and picnic like event. 7:00 AM Registration opens for preregistered cars
7:00 - 9:00 AM Cars placed on field and in corral
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Special Presentations / Guest Speakers
12:00 - 1:00 PM Luncheon
1:30 - 3:00 PM Awards Ceremony for Concours cars
4:00 PM Event ends

In addition to the Legends of the Autobahn event, there are many things to see and do in the area during the Pebble Beach Weekend. For example, the Golden Gate Chapter is also planning a club event at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion historic car races on August 18 and 19. We encourage everyone to sample the large variety of auto related events all over the Monterey Peninsula. It is common to see cars only seen in magazines driving though the streets of Monterey, or parked on Ocean Avenue in Carmel. People come from all over the world to participate, see and be seen, at the plethora of local events. They come to take in the thick atmosphere of auto exotica that permeates the area streets. It all culminates at the /Pebble Beach Concours d 'Elegance/ on Sunday. We encourage all who wish to be a part of this extraordinary experience to get their tickets and room reservations early.
