This year's Vermont Covered Bridge Tour with Audi Club North Atlantic will visit twelve covered bridges while traversing 120 miles of Vermont's most scenic roadways, with time planned en route so that you can stop and take a couple of pictures at each of the bridges. The lunch break will be in Middlebury VT, where there are multiple places to eat, ranging from a Subway and a McDonalds, to an A&W Root Beer, the Two Brothers Pub, and the local diner (which I recommend-MC). A map of suggested locations will be provided as part of the tour, but the cost of lunch is on you. After the lunch break we will drive through the Green Mountain State Forest and traverse some of Vermont's finest dirt roads. Time and opportunities for "personal break" rest stops in the middle of the morning and afternoon sections are incorporated into the route.
The finish is a surprise, but I can say, if you like Micro brews and some of the finest wood cooked food, you'll be having a great time at the finish. The finish is conveniently located 5 miles from Exit 2 on Route 89 south, 30 miles north of the Vermont/New Hampshire state line.
Prizes will be awarded at the end for the two best stories of the day, voted by you, the participants. Prizes will be from Vermont Marble Co, so we're not talking about some little plaque here!
